About Imogen:

She lives alone in a small 2 bedroom house on the outskirts of Quinlan. She has 2 cats (Kanto & Wagashi). She prefers their company over many of the people in the neighborhood. Although the neighborhood is quiet she wishes her location was still more secluded. When she is at home she likes to unwind and be "off" from the rest of the world. Her house is bordered on two sides by Baker State Park.

She has problems with her immediate neighbor, Mr.K.Keane, who constantly steals cuttings from her rose garden--giving the flowers one at a time to give to his current girlfriend. She wants to confront him about it but feels uncomfortable as she has no hard evidence of his guilt--only suspicion and bare patches among her rose bushes. She does not want to alienate her neighbor as she has to live there...so she bares it with a passive-aggressive anger and thinks in the back of her mind what she might do to make them "even". She has resisted the temptation to use her magic to catch him in the act--or to get revenge.

Imogen's spent a good part of her life in education--first getting her education and then going on to work in the academic community. She always had a strong love of learning and the love of books was fostered in her early by her mother. She values books more than most things, and is always happy to shell out her hard earned cash to buy one that strikes her interest. Imogen is very versatile in her thought processes and can be progressive at times. However, when she makes her mind up about something she can be incredibly stubborn. She is also prone to being impatient --and slightly bullying if something isn't getting done the way she wants it to be.

Although she is in education, Imogen was not always certain that she wanted to follow that career path. With her Masters in English, there are times when Imogen really wishes she was anything other than a librarian--that she had gone into law, or politics or anything with a bit more panache to it. Although she loves learning, and books...she hates to see the glazed over look that tend to come to people's faces when she mentions her profession. It isn't, among non-students, one that automatically demands respect (Unless of course, you understand exactly what kind of books and tomes she is responsible for!!)

While she does possess the talent, she chooses to keep her use of magic to a minimum. She believes that in doing so it allows her to fit in better socially with the non-talented members of Quinlan society.

Imogen goes on dates occasionally, but doesn't have the best luck when it comes to romance. She finds that the ideal of romantic love is much nicer than the actuality of slogging through relationships...Most of the men she has dated seemed like good ideas (and matches) at the time but they always end up lacking in some way. She isn't entirely sure that its them--and not something about herself. These days, Imogen tends to read more and date less--something that her friends--Alison and Leela are trying to put a damper on. Their efforts to get her on blind dates have had some laughable results--and she looks askance at them whenever they're mentioned.

Hobbies & Interests: Gardening. She grows roses and sees gardening as a way to escape the stresses of daily life and work. She also is interested in books and ancient lore--although she is not as well learned in some ancient and modern tongues as she would like to be --so she occasionally takes foreign language classes.
